Faulty wiring makes connector difficult to close, due to the shape of the cable.

If an unexpected color from the flat cable is seen through the connector window, the wiring is incorrect.
Connection
A connection can be made without a dedicated tool, by inserting the cable into the connector and squeezing, or the connector can be applied by using standard pliers. The connection to a T-branch is similar.
